2012: Joined as a new graduate (general employee) and assigned to the bridal industry
3rd year: Became Bridal Manager
8th year, Secretary to the President's Office at Head Office
12th year: Seconded to Plan・Do・See Global Co., Ltd., engaged in developing new partnerships
How did you meet Plan-Do-See and what made you decide to join?
My first encounter with Plan-Do-See (hereafter referred to as PDS) was when I ate at THE SODOH HIGASHIYAMA KYOTO as a university student.
I still vividly remember the moment I passed through the gate and climbed the green approach lit by large lanterns; I felt a thrill I had never felt before.
While we were eating, we could see the banquet hall from the restaurant, where the bride and groom and the planner were chatting and taking photos together.
The planner's smile at that time made a big impression on me, and I thought, "I want to work like these people," so I attended a PDS information session.
I was surprised and convinced that the atmosphere of the seniors I met at the briefing session was exactly the same as the smile of the planner I met back then.
"Do what you love, with the people you love, in the places you love" - I was truly attracted to this company culture and decided to join the company.
What kind of work are you doing now?
Currently, I am in charge of sales at the in-house venture Plan・Do・See Global Co., Ltd.
PDS Global is challenging itself to connect the world with Japan through three pillars: "education of overseas talent," "recruitment to companies," and "support services."
PDS has partnered with universities and educational institutions overseas that offer hospitality courses, and dispatches chefs and service staff to these locations.
We provide education to students who want to learn Japanese hospitality and work in the Japanese hospitality industry, and connect them with food and beverage and hotel companies in Japan as immediately effective employees.
I am on the front lines of this business, playing the role of a salesperson who acts as a liaison with companies, building new partnerships and paving the way to the future.

What are the moments in your work that you feel are rewarding?
When our corporate clients tell us about the overseas talent we introduced to them, "We're so glad we hired them!"
Japan's hospitality industry is facing challenges such as "not being able to open a store" and "not being able to seize opportunities to open a store" due to a chronic shortage of personnel.
Many companies feel uneasy about hiring overseas talent as a solution to this problem.
"They are honest and ambitious, and we are learning from them."
"We were able to handle inbound tourism needs that Japanese people alone could not handle, and our customers were very pleased."
Every time I hear such feedback, I feel a great sense of accomplishment.
Rather than simply filling a labor shortage, we have been accepted as "ready-to-use personnel who can provide global hospitality."
At that moment, I strongly felt the significance of my work, which connects Japanese hospitality with the world.

Please tell us about the atmosphere and appeal you feel after actually working here.
When I was a student, I had the ideal of "doing what I love, in the place I love, with the person I love."
This has been happening ever since I joined the company.
Every team has teammates who share the same aspirations and are willing to work hard together.
And I can confidently introduce to customers the products, stores, and services that I truly love.
I feel happy every day that I can continue to work this way.
Another feature of Plan-Do-See is that it gives you the freedom to use your own discretion.
I am currently in charge of corporate sales, and while interacting with various companies,
I feel that the speed at which decisions are made and the large amount of authority delegated to me allows me to take on challenges from a young age, which leads to my growth.

Please tell us about your future vision.
We want more companies to realize the value of global talent, and we want to be a presence that supports and boosts Japan's food, beverage, accommodation, and hospitality industries.
eventually--
If you want to work in Japan's hospitality industry, it is standard to "pass an exam supervised by PDS Global."
AI-based systems are being introduced into companies to support human resource development and management, and solve fundamental challenges in the industry.
I want to make that future a reality.
We will not only provide recruitment services, but also enrich and evolve Japan's hospitality industry itself through a wide range of services including education and systems.
I would like to expand this challenge from PDS Global.
