How did you meet Plan-Do-See and what made you decide to join?

I first joined the company as a part-time worker, and at the time I knew nothing about Plan-Do-See (hereinafter referred to as PDS).
However, as I continued working there, I began to like the people, the products, and the store more and more.

One day, the founder, Toyoka-san, came to the store and while I was serving him, he said to me, "Come and visit us." From there, I started to research PDS, and I became more and more attracted to it, and I really resonated with the idea that "I am one of the customers."

My dream is to "spread the wonders of Japan overseas and become a bridge." I felt that this dream was directly connected to PDS's vision of "bringing Japanese hospitality to people all over the world," and this was a major factor in my decision to join the company.

Above all, I am simply a huge fan of PDS (laughs). Before I knew it, I was passionately talking about the appeal of PDS to my family, friends, and even people I met for the first time.

What kind of work are you doing now?

Starting with the launch of the company in Africa, we meet with many people every day to share our vision and explore the possibility of partnerships, such as obtaining contracts with local partners, who to partner with and how to open new stores, and the possibility of management contracts and operations.

We are currently in the process of solidifying our vision in collaboration with other managers who are also taking on challenges overseas, but we feel that precisely because Africa is a region with many developing countries, there is the potential to bring about major change and evolution by injecting the essence of PDS.

We are currently operating one hotel project in Morocco, and are in the process of preparing to build and finalize a contract for our second hotel.

What are the moments in your work that you feel are rewarding?

PDS' vision is "Bringing Japanese hospitality to the people of the world." I am very excited that the "world" is about to include my beloved Africa, and that we are now at the starting line of this journey.

Through repeated trial and error, we gradually shape our business and increase the number of people who share the same thoughts and vision. This process itself is very rewarding.

And above all, PDS Africa has the potential to grow to the same level as, or even surpass, PDS Japan one day. It is with this belief that we continue to take on new challenges every day.

Please tell us about the atmosphere and attractions you experience working in Morocco.

The biggest attraction is being able to come into contact with people, cultures, and ways of thinking that are very different from those in Japan.
In a new place, with no clear answer, you have to go through trial and error while searching for a winning formula, and move forward despite successes and failures - I don't think you can easily get that kind of experience in Japan.

The city itself is also fascinating. I feel like I'm constantly traveling abroad, and I enjoy being able to experience the culture and food culture every day, both at work and in my personal life.
For example, every Friday, there is a culture of eating couscous together with the staff, and while eating, they talk about their personal lives and their future plans. This kind of time is another charm that cannot be found in Japan.

What moment did you feel your life has become richer since discovering Plan-Do-See?

PDS has given me so many opportunities so far.
And now, I am truly grateful to have been given this great opportunity to take on a challenge in Africa, with Morocco as my setting.

That's why it's my turn now.
I want to give back to the people I meet in Morocco the wealth I have received from PDS.
I hope to be able to provide my friends in Africa with even just a few opportunities to enrich their lives and seize new chances.
