How did you meet Plan-Do-See and what made you decide to join?
During my university days, I was recommended by a senior in my club activities to attend an information session, which is how I first encountered Plan-Do-See.
Among the many attractions, one of the main reasons I decided to join the company was THE SODOH HIGASHIYAMA KYOTO in Kyoto.
As I approached the building, I felt a special atmosphere, a mixture of anticipation and a little anxiety. The space had a great atmosphere, and was frequented by a wide range of customers, from students to elderly people. In the harmonious atmosphere, people were enjoying lunch, and the service staff were very friendly.
At that moment, I was repeatedly saying "Cool!" in my head (laughs).
Of course, I visited many stores of other companies, but this store was the one that captivated me the most. This experience was a major factor in my decision to join the company.
What kind of work are you doing now?
In short, I am the coordinator for creating new stores.
for example,
"What should we name the store?"
"What kind of restaurant will it be?"
"What kind of design should we make?"
"How many guest rooms will there be?"
"How much will it cost?"
--I'm involved in all of these decisions.
I hold numerous meetings with various people both inside and outside the company, turning ideas into reality, and creating a store from scratch. My role is to lead and coordinate this entire process.

What are the moments in your work that you feel are rewarding?
The most rewarding part is when we come together to come up with ideas to create something great, and when we see the reaction of everyone outside the company who worked on the project with us once it actually takes shape.
We work together with many people on projects, including the owner, construction, design, and equipment companies. Different companies have different cultures and ways of thinking, so we sometimes clash with each other or are asked to do unreasonable things.
However, we all share the same goal of "making great products." That's why the process of building on each other and sharing our opinions is so interesting, and the accumulation of these experiences makes the job rewarding.

Please tell us about the atmosphere and appeal you feel after actually working here.
What I feel after actually working here is that the atmosphere is extremely open. I thought "This must be a company with a good atmosphere" from the company briefing session, but when I joined the company it was even better than I imagined (laughs).
Not only do they decide on restaurant menus and service methods, but they also decide on company systems, personnel evaluations, and new business ventures. Decisions are made while keeping an eye on the opinions of employees and customers, as well as trends in society.
It's probably not easy to find a company that reflects on-site opinions to this extent, even if you wanted to. I think the fact that they've made this a reality is one of the great attractions of Plan-Do-See.

Please tell us about your future vision.
I want to create opportunities to enrich the lives of as many people as possible.
One way to achieve this is to realize Plan-Do-See's VISION through a business that specializes in "places rich in nature" and "remote areas." For example, redesigning mountain huts to make them more attractive, or creating the most comfortable spaces in national parks... It might be interesting to create a subsidiary called "Plan-Do-See Nature Resort" (laughs).
I personally love the outdoors, and I feel that there are still not enough places in nature that are "comfortable and have delicious food." Because we live in a convenient world, there must be many people who have never experienced the charm of the outdoors. That's why I want to provide an opportunity for people to experience that charm. I would like to take on such a new challenge.
