The restaurant has a vast 1,700 tsubo (5,300 m2) site with a garden that reflects the colors of the four seasons, and the building is a renovated Japanese house that was built about 90 years ago by the master of Japanese painting, Takeuchi Seiho. Based on traditional Italian cuisine, the restaurant serves Italian food that combines the location and local ingredients of Kyoto with the era and seasonal feel of the cuisine.
