We are looking for a new colleague to work as a "spatial director" in the Quality Design Department, which is the core of our business expansion.

The appeal of the job
A job that spreads the charm of Japan to the world
We operate establishments with histories and stories that have been cherished in each region, such as the Oriental Hotel Kobe, the oldest hotel in Japan; the restaurant Kawabun in Nagoya, which has a 400-year history; the hotel Marufukuro, which was renovated from the former Nintendo headquarters in Kyoto; and the Izu inn Ochiairo, a tangible cultural property beloved by many literary figures.
Why not create with your own hands the charm of Japanese hospitality that attracts travelers from all over the world?
Enriching Japan through space creation
Through the spatial creation of Plan-Do-See, we aim to enhance the value of the city itself and boost Japan's tourism industry from the ground up.
Through spatial design rooted in the history and culture of each region, we will attract guests from Japan and abroad, and ultimately bring people to the area - this is a rewarding position that is directly linked to "urban development" and "tourism-oriented nation."
Flexible working hours that allow you to manage your own work place and time
The department operates a flexible working system, allowing employees to manage their own schedules and attendance.
In addition to our head office in Azabudai Hills, there are a variety of options for where you can work, including your home, one of our stores, or a cafe.
We encourage you to work in a way that maximizes your performance.

Employee Interview
Joined mid-career in 2012
Space Director: Aoi Uehara
What made you consider changing jobs?
In my previous job, I was mainly in charge of architectural design for condominiums, but I felt dissatisfied because I couldn't see how the space would be used after it was handed over or what the customers' reactions would be. I wanted to be more deeply involved in the process of how the space is used, which is what prompted me to change jobs.
Why did you choose Plan-Do-See?
I learned about the company's president, Toyoka Noda, through a book by Kitayama Creative Research Institute and became interested in Plan-Do-See. My desire to work in a space that I truly love coincided with this, so I decided to apply. During the interview, I came into contact with the warm and unique people within the company, and that was the deciding factor.
What are the moments in your work that you feel are rewarding?
I feel a great sense of accomplishment when the project is completed and I see customers actually visiting the restaurant. It's hard work leading up to the opening, but when I revisit the space that the team and I created together with our partners and enjoy a meal together, I truly feel glad that I was involved.
Please tell us about the atmosphere and appeal you feel after actually working here.
The main reason I've been able to work here for so long is the "nice people." There are many sincere and passionate members, and they naturally interacted with me, even though I'm shy. It's an environment that is flexible and can accommodate changes in life stages, and I feel that it's a place where I can continue to hone my sensibilities and always face new challenges.
